Oil prices reach a record high last Friday of a little over $135 a barrel, which obviously means that Petrol and Diesel have gone up again. It doesn’t seem all that many years ago that I remember the entire country up in arms at the prospect of Petrol reaching 90p a litre, and every HGV known to man was out on Britain’s roads in protest.

It’s gone up to £1.30 a litre for Diesel in my neck of the woods today, and what action is planned? Zip. I live in a rural area with infrequent public transport and rely on the car for just about everything. (unfortunately) Can anything be done about it?
